The terms governing your use of our website.

1. Introduction

These terms govern your use of the Tamil Special Children UK website (tamilspecialchildren.org.uk). By accessing this website, you agree to these terms.

2. Use of Website

This website is provided for informational purposes about our charity. You may browse, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial use. You must not:

  • Use the site in any way that is unlawful
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access
  • Use the site to transmit harmful material

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this website (text, images, logos, design) is owned by Tamil Special Children UK or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written consent, except as permitted by UK copyright law.

4. Donations

Donations made through third-party platforms (e.g., JustGiving) are subject to those platforms' own terms and conditions. Bank transfers are subject to your bank's terms. We are a registered charity (No. 1191001) and all donations are used in accordance with our charitable objectives.

5. Event Tickets, Payments and Refunds

Tickets for our events are sold by Tamil Special Children UK, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England and Wales (Charity No. 1191001), through our bookings site (tickets.tamilspecialchildren.org.uk). All prices are shown in pounds sterling. Ticket income is used in accordance with our charitable objectives.

Card payments are processed by Stripe on their secure hosted payment page. We never see or store your card details. At checkout you may be offered the option to add a small voluntary contribution towards our card processing costs; this is entirely optional and does not affect your ticket.

After payment you will receive a confirmation email containing your ticket. Please have it ready (on your phone is fine) for entry on the day.

Refunds: if we cancel or reschedule an event, you will be offered a full refund of your ticket price. Otherwise tickets are non-refundable. Because event tickets are for a leisure activity on a specific date, the 14 day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Transfers: tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold. Entry is by the name on the booking, which we may check against your ticket on the day.

6. External Links

Our website contains links to external sites (Google Forms, JustGiving, social media). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these external websites.

7. Limitation of Liability

This website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Tamil Special Children UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Privacy

Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
